Sherry Bourquein and four friends are hosting their eighth annual Bowling for Cancer fundraiser 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, March 25 at Oxford Lanes, 4340 Oxford Reily Road, Oxford. 

The event has a $5 cover charge, and it is $1 a game to bowl. It also will have a spin the prize wheel game, a split the pot and gift basket raffles. Food and beverages are available for purchase. 

All funds raised will be donated to Oxford Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society, Bourquein said. She has been involved in the fundraiser because several members of her family currently have cancer and she had some friends and family who she lost to cancer. 

At last year’s fundraiser, $800 was raised.
