Oxford Police Department responded to reports of assault, underage drinking and six thefts between April 8 and April 15.
On April 8, officers responded to a reported theft at a business on College Corner Pike, where more than $500 worth of merchandise was taken. Later that day, a verbal domestic dispute was reported on Oxford Reily Road. A fight on College Corner Pike resulted in assault and aggravated menacing charges.
On April 10, incidents included an assault on University Park Boulevard and a Facebook Marketplace scam reported on Panda Lane.
April 11, officers were dispatched to McCullough Hyde for a report of an assault. During the investigation, officers learned the suspect choked his girlfriend after a verbal altercation. The suspect was arrested for domestic violence and strangulation.
On April 12, officers responded to a burglary at an apartment complex on West Withrow Street, where the suspect was seen running away with parts from the apartment’s window A/C unit. That day officers responded to a call from an apartment complex on College Corner Pike regarding a dispute where a male brandished a firearm at another male.
In the early hours of April 13, an underage male was arrested for driving under the influence after he told the police he was going to drive another underage male to the hospital for a head injury. Also that day, a male was arrested for an outstanding warrant and possession of suspected narcotics on West Sycamore Street.
On April 14 at 5:01 a.m., officers responded to a report of an intoxicated and uncooperative woman at Kroger. At 5:46 p.m. officers responded to a call regarding a male was knocked unconscious during a fight at 116 E. High St.
A TikTok harassment complaint was also reported to police on April 14.
