Civil War reenactors Paul Walsh and Bill Gay perform at the annual Butler County DAR Flag Day luncheon at the Knolls of Oxford. 

The Oxford Caroline Scott Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) hosted its annual Flag Day luncheon at the Knolls of Oxford.

Civil War re-enactors Bill Gay and Paul Walsh presented “Flags of the Civil War,” showing several flags and explaining their significance and use during the war. The program ended with Civil War tunes and bugle calls.

The DAR is a non-profit, non-political volunteer service organization for women founded in 1890 in Washington, D.C. The organization is dedicated to boosting patriotism, preserving American history and enhancing education for children.
