Oxford celebrates freedom July 1 and 3

Oxford’s annual Freedom Fest celebrating the Fourth of July will be 5-10 p.m. July 3 at the Oxford Community Park. The event will feature games, inflatables, axe throwing, live music, horse carriage rides, food and vendors.

Fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. Activities and games will be free, but parking will cost $5.

The Freedom Festival Parade and Uptown Music Concert will take place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. July 1 at Memorial Park in uptown. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and the concert at 7 p.m. The concert this year will feature the Michelle Robinson Band.
