Author discusses dust bowl book at Miami Hamilton

Acclaimed writer Timothy Egan will present his book “The Worst Hard Time: The Untold Story of Those Who Survived the Great American Dust Bowl” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 at Miami University Hamilton’s Parrish Auditorium.

Egan is an experienced chronicler of the American experience whose interests range across history and different landscapes. He is a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter, popular columnist, and bestselling author of nine books. “The Worst Hard Time,” winner of the 2006 National Book Award, inspired Ken Burns’ 2012 documentary “The Dust Bowl.”

The event is presented by the Michael J. Colligan History Project and has received support from the Hamilton Community Foundation.
