Associate professor of creative writing Jody Bates will read from his new novel “The Strikeout Artist,”  Nov. 7 at a book release.

The novel is about the character Franz Kafka who is an unlikely star pitcher.

The event will begin at 6:30  p.m. in Alumni Hall 001.
