Expert to speak on the role of science in democracies

Sheila Jasanoff, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, will speak at Shriver Center on Oct. 6.

Sheila Jasanoff, a professor at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and member of the Council on Foreign Relations, will speak at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, in the Shriver Center Heritage Room. 

Her talk is titled “Between Truth and Tyranny: The Rightful Place of Science in Democracy.” 

Jasanoff has written or edited over 15 books. Her work explores the role of science and technology in the law, politics and policy of modern democracies.
