From Oct. 10 to Oct. 16, the Butler County health inspector visited five restaurants, giving out three critical violations and 17 non-critical violations.
On Oct. 10, the inspector visited the Oxford Country Club and gave nine violations, three of which were critical. For the critical violations, all corrected during inspection, the inspector wrote that the person in charge was unable to demonstrate knowledge, cold food was not held at the right temperature and surfaces were not easily cleanable. Non-critical violations included the repeat offense of using unapproved equipment.
On Oct. 11, Starbucks Coffee in the Shriver Center of Miami University received four non-critical violations. Violations ranged from the manager not having proper food protection certification to equipment for heating and cooling food being inadequate.
Yum Cha was inspected the next day, Oct. 12, and received no violations.
Starbucks Coffee in Withrow Hall at Miami was visited by the inspector on Oct. 16, receiving five non-critical violations. The facility also didn’t have a manager with a proper food protection certification, and the prep cooler gaskets were not kept clean. The other three violations were corrected during inspection.
The same day, the inspector went to Miami Catering and gave two non-critical violations because the facility was in disrepair and the ventilation system was not maintained.
