The City of Oxford has been awarded a grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission. The $147,500 grant will fund the replacement of a culvert on Kehr Road.
The OPWC has funded more than 600 projects in this round of infrastructure funding, totaling $331.1 million. Projects encompass a variety of needs in areas such as roads, water supply, wastewater, bridges, culverts and stormwater.
“We are pleased to announce another successful funding round to address critical infrastructure needs,” said Linda Bailiff, the OPWC Director, “and thank the district committees for their work. Regional decision-making is the backbone of this highly successful program.”
Local government projects are selected by the state’s 19 district integrating committees based on factors such as health, safety, age, condition and user volume. Smaller communities, with populations of 5,000 or less, are able to bring unfunded projects to compete in OPWC’s statewide Small Government Program.
