Both of Miami University’s Synchronized Skating teams are headed back to the U.S. Synchronized Skating National Championships in Colorado Springs, after a performance during the Miami vs. Minnesota Duluth hockey game Friday, Feb. 25, and a nationals sendoff exhibition performance at 3 p.m. Feb. 27, at Goggin Ice Center.

The collegiate team finished first place at both the Midwest Synchronized Skating Championships and Tri-States competition in Evansville, Ohio, and is seeking its 2oth national title.

Miami’s senior team, which has represented the country as Team USA in international events in the past, is headed to Colorado looking to qualify for the ISU world synchronized skating championships. To compete in Canada in April (the location of the 2022 ISU championships), the senior team needs at least a runner-up finish in the U.S. national competition.
