Oxford is offering a sweet time for all with a Chocolate Meltdown from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 15, in Uptown Park and the Oxford Community Arts Center.

The event will feature chocolate tastings in various bars and restaurants, obstacle courses, children’s games and inflatables in the park, and carriage rides. A chocolate bar will be serving visitors who are 21 and older from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Community Arts Center, 10 South College Ave.

The event is jointly sponsored by Enjoy Oxford, the Oxford Community Arts Center, the Miami University Art Museum, the Oxford Chamber of Commerce and the Oxford Department of Parks & Recreation.

While admission to the event is free, if visitors want to participate in the chocolate tastings, they’ll need to buy tasting tickets. Tasting tickets will include six, 12 or 24 tasting coupons that can be used at some business locations throughout uptown Oxford, as well as for tasting locations and the chocolate bar happy hour. Tasting coupons will be six for $5, 12 for $10 or 24 for $20.
