Get rid of your expired or unused prescriptions and over-the-counter medications safely during Medication Disposal Day, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at two Oxford locations.

The Oxford Police Department will be collecting the medications at the Tri Community Center, 6025 Fairfield Road. Medications also can be dropped off at the Oxford Township Police Department, 825 Main St.

The medicines will be disposed of in a safe, legal and environmentally responsible way. The event is sponsored by the Oxford City Police, Oxford Township Police, McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital/TriHealth and the Coalition for a Healthy Community.

In a new development this year, the program also is accepting vaping devices and cartridges. The sponsors request that you remove the batteries before turning in the devices.
