The Oxford Community Arts Center will host its monthly Second Friday Celebration with a gallery exhibition and concert performance Sept. 10 at the OCAC, 10 S. College Ave. 

The gallery will open at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The gallery will feature works by Lee Baker DeVore, Pamela Hignite and the Oxford Visual Arts Connection group. The September exhibits will be on display from Sept. 10 to Oct. 2. 

The Oxford Choro Ensemble is led by Thomas Garcia, a Miami University professor of ethnomusicology. It will perform choro, a Brazilian pop music genre with roots in traditional New Orleans jazz and ragtime. The trio will also perform samba and bossa nova. 

The center’s art shop will be open from 6 p.m to 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
