An exhibition entitled “A Preliminary Presentation of The 7th Hole Religion of Craftowne,” by Billy Simms, opens at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum, June 14, and will run through Aug. 20.

According to Pyramid Hill Arts & Programing Manager Gabi Roach, the exhibition shows off the genesis of seven folk artists from Craftowne, Maryland, a town outside Washington D.C., whose work was inspired by a celestial event, and features artifacts from the 1970s.

The exhibit includes painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, performance, historical objects, puppetry and more. Curated by renowned Craftowne historian Billy Simms, this exhibition will collect samples of work from these seven artists in the same exhibition for the very first time.

Pyramid Hill notes that some pieces in the show are explicit and may not be suitable for all people.
