Miami botanists host wildflower walks every Sunday until May 9


Wildflower walks, led by professional botanists from Miami University, began on March 21 and will continue at 1 p.m. every Sunday until May 9. The walks take place at the Silvoor Biological Sanctuary, located at 929-951 Silvoor Lane.

Due to COVID-19, only eight people will be allowed to attend each walk and every participant is required to register for the event, according to

Participants must wear masks for the duration of the walk and are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes. Other important reminders include charging any camera or phones, because there are many colorful photo opportunities on the walk.

Those interested in participating can register here and should meet at the Peffer Park pavilion a couple minutes before the walk starts.
