Talawanda to stream football season opener

The Talawanda High School football team is set to open its season tonight, Friday, Aug. 28, with precautionary measures prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Brave will host Dayton Carroll at 7 p.m., at home, in front of a limited crowd.

Only 350 tickets will be available in advance of the game and will be limited to families of the players, band members and cheerleaders. For those unable to attend in person, the game will be streamed live on ChatterboxSports.com

Talawanda School District tweeted a list of restrictions for those attending the home opener, as well as the scheduled home games Sept. 11 and 18, as outlined by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.

Spectators will be required to wear masks or face coverings at all times, except when eating or drinking, and must sit in specially-designated areas of the stadium meant to keep the crowd socially-distanced.
