The McCullough-Hyde Foundation approved 10 community grants totaling $50,000 to disperse to organizations in the Butler and Preble counties in Ohio and Franklin and Union counties in Indiana. The approved grants will help support significant health needs of these local communities.
Of 22 applications, McCullough-Hyde Foundation’s Board of Trustees and Community Granting Committee funded the following:
- Family Resource Center ($10,000) to address challenges regarding housing and homelessness in the community.
- Oxford Free Clinic ($8,500) for new medical equipment and healthcare services to those in need.
- Open Hands Food Pantry ($5,000) to address local food insecurity, shelter, and rehabilitation for homeless individuals and families.
- Reily Township ($5,000) for the installation of two basketball hoops and repaving of the basketball court to improve Reily Community Park.
- Stable Moments ($5,000) to support an Equine Assisted Learning program for children who have experienced developmental trauma.
- Thread Up Oxford ($5,000) supporting the “Healthy Wardrobe Project” which provides clothing to those facing financial hardship.
- Union County Foundation ($5,000) to support the construction of an amphitheater at the Union County Nature Park.
- Oxford Area Solutions for Housing ($3,300) to provide data for future homelessness prevention efforts and train volunteers.
- Talawanda High School ($3,000) to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator.
- Union County 4-H Association ($1,000) to support 4-H leadership projects focusing on STEM, citizenship and healthy learning.
Since 2022, the program has awarded more than $200,000 to local community organizations.
