Between Nov. 27 and Dec. 4, Oxford Police Department responded to incidents including fights at Talawanda and thousands of dollars stolen from a local store
On Nov. 27, police responded to a broken window on the second floor of the Delta Zeta National Headquarters building on Church Street. It appeared someone had thrown a bottle through the window although there are no suspects.
Later that morning, just before 11:30 a.m., residents at 321 E. Vine St. reported that someone they did not know forced entry to their house and stole their belongings. As of now, there are no suspects.
In the evening at 9:14 p.m., two unknown men stole $2,080 worth of merchandise from Walmart.
On Nov. 28, just before 10 a.m., police responded to a vandalized vehicle with three slashed tires in the Oxford Square apartments. Police were dispatched to the parking lot again around 6:30 p.m. for another report of damaged tires.
On Nov. 29, at 2:47 p.m., police reported that a Talawanda Middle School male student assaulted another male student after making toward the victim.
On Nov. 30, at 9 a.m. police reported a fight inside the women’s gym bathroom at Talawanda High School.
Later that evening, just before 11 p.m., police were called to Brick Street for an unresponsive underage female. She was taken to McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital and cited with underage drinking, having two fake IDs and disorderly conduct.
On Dec. 2, police responded to a report at 515 N. Campus Ave. that a woman’s son-in-law caused her serious physical harm. He was transported to Butler County Jail.
On Dec. 4, around midnight, a male living at Miami Preserve reported his car had been damaged.
