Between Oct. 16 and Oct. 22, Oxford police responded to several reports of vehicular damage and thefts ranging from Amazon packages to construction cones.
At 9:20 a.m. on Oct. 16, an individual reported that two freshly planted flowers were stolen from the front of her business.
The next day at 9:40 a.m., an individual reported their driver side mirror was damaged overnight on the 100-block of N. College Ave.
Just after 6:00 p.m. on Oct. 18, an Amazon delivery package was stolen from an apartment on the 5000-block of Red Cloud Court.
At almost 2:00 a.m. on Oct. 20, officers responded to a male damaging sound equipment at Brick Street. After a foot pursuit, the male was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, obstructing official business, vandalism of property worth over $500 and underage drinking.
Just after 7:00 p.m. that day, officers responded to a theft in progress at 5700-block of College Corner Pike. When officers arrived, the suspect had already fled the scene. After a short investigation, officers identified the suspect and issued warrants for her arrest.
On Oct. 21 at 11:30 a.m., an individual reported several construction cones were stolen from his job site. There are no current suspects.
Just before 10:00 p.m. later that day, officers responded to a reckless vehicle report. Officers stopped the vehicle near East Chestnut and Oak Street, and the driver and two occupants were charged with underage offenses and open container.
Around the same time, officers transported an intoxicated male from the 30-block of E. High St. to McCullough-Hyde and charged him with underage drinking and disorderly conduct.
At 5:40 a.m. on Oct. 22, officers assisted the Oxford Fire Department with a reported drug overdose at the 6000-block of Contreras Road. A man was located and transported to McCullough-Hyde for treatment.
Two instances of vehicle damage were reported on Oct. 22. At 11:00 a.m., an individual reported someone kicked their driver side mirror and damaged their vehicle at Wooster Place. Although the incident was captured on the victim’s surveillance camera, suspects are unknown.
Another instance of vehicular damage was reported shortly before 1:00 p.m. after an unknown individual walked across the roof of a car parked near South Beech Street and West Spring Street. There are currently no suspects.
