Between Sept. 4 and Sept. 11, Oxford Police responded to multiple reports of underage public intoxication, theft and one assault.
According to police reports, at 7:02 p.m. on Sept. 5 an individual under the age of 21 went to a business on the 200-block of E. Sycamore Street and purchased a nicotine vape. The person who sold the vape was identified and cited.
At 11:12 p.m. on Sept. 7, officers were dispatched to Dana Drive for a reported assault. According to police reports, during the course of an altercation between a couple that began at McDonald’s and continued as they returned home, the man put his hands around the woman’s neck and struck her with a metal water bottle. He was processed into Butler County Jail on charges of strangulation, a felony.
At 4:15 p.m. on Sept. 7, a window to an apartment on College Corner Pike was damaged from the outside. It is not clear how the window was damaged.
At 2:20 a.m. on Sept. 8, police discovered a female intoxicated and vomiting on High Street. She was found to be underage and in possession of a fake ID. She was transported to the hospital.
At 8:19 a.m. on Sept. 8, U-Haul of Oxford reported that a two-wheeled tow dolly was missing from their lot.
At 9:09 p.m. on Sept. 10, a motorcycle was reported stolen from Oxford Commons within the last five days.
