Oxford Police responds to aggravated menacing and drinking calls

Oxford Police responded to reports of aggravated menacing, underage drinking and theft between Feb. 27 and March 6.

Officers responded to a report that a male knocked on a house door, held the resident at gunpoint and demanded drugs. The police arrived and apprehended the man after a foot pursuit. The man had a BB gun in his bag. Police charged him with aggravated menacing and obstructing official business.

Officers found an unresponsive man outside of Brick Street Bar on the night of March 4. The man was transported to the hospital and issued a summons for underage drinking.

Police saw another man being carried out of a bar uptown. He was charged with underage liquor violations.

Police also responded to three counts of theft. On March 4, police responded to a man attempting to steal from Walmart. His identity is unknown.

Talawanda High School staff reported that a computer was stolen by the student it was assigned to. The staff tracked the location of the computer using GPS data.
