The Butler County General Health District gave Eat Up Hotpot – located 15 S. Beech St. – a clean follow-up inspection on June 27 after an initial June 2 inspection yielded seven “critical” and 21 “non-critical” violations.

Although the new report does not list any official violations, the comments note remaining sanitation issues with the restaurant’s hood ventilation, filter panels and ductwork. Oxford Fire Chief John Detherage advised the restaurant that in order to reopen, these issues would need to be addressed.

Eat Up Hotpot is currently closed, and its owner has stated that if it is not able to reopen, it may have to permanently close, according to the report.

Both reports are available on the county health department’s food inspection website.
