Blake Coleman who played college hockey at Miami, helps the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning win the Stanley Cup this week.

Blake Coleman, Miami class of 2015, became the fifth former RedHawk to hoist the Stanley Cup on Sept. 28, as the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Dallas Stars in Game Six of the National Hockey League championship series.

After being traded by the New Jersey Devils earlier this year, Coleman appeared in all 25 playoff games for the Lightning, netting five goals and eight assists for 13 points this postseason.

The center scored the second goal for Tampa Bay in Game Six, giving the Lightning the 2-0 lead, which earned them the cup.

In his career at Miami, Coleman helped the RedHawks to three NCAA Tournament appearances and two conference championships, earning 107 points on 60 goals and 47 assists in four years.
