The Miami University Recreation Center now requires masks after increase of COVID-19 cases
September 18, 2020
Masks are now required on everyone working out at the Miami University Rec Center, unless you are in the center’s pool, the center announced this week.
Previously, masks did not have to be worn while using cardio equipment, but the center decided to require masks at all times after the number of positive tests for COVID-19 among Miami students spiked last week. With campus dorms reopening this week, usage of the Rec’s facilities is expected to increase.
Upon entering the center, social distancing is required and one’s temperature is taken via a thermal scanner.
