Oxford Police responded to thefts, arson, disorderly conduct and domestic violence last week.
Someone broke into a house on Willow Lane in the middle of the night April 9. They stole a Fender guitar, Playstation 5 and a Sony speaker. All of the items totaled to about $3,000 in value. Police do not have a suspect at this time.
Someone broke into an unlocked car and stole Apple Airpods, vintage CDs, various cords and some change April 10. Police do not have a suspect at this time.
Police responded to reports of an arson at the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity house in the early hours of April 12. One member noticed that the rock outside of their house was set on fire. When police arrived, they discovered a gasoline tank inside a Ritz cracker box burning in the street with a charred line leading to the rock. Police do not have a suspect at this time.
Police responded to an unknown woman who walked into a house she did not live in early April 13. Police found the woman lying in the bathroom, throwing up. EMS transported her to the hospital to receive assistance. She was charged with underage drinking, disorderly conduct and possession of a fake ID.
Police responded to a report of domestic violence at the Parkview Arms apartments later that night. According to reports, a mother was upset that her child called the father for help with the dog instead of her, and she hit her child on the arms multiple times. Police charged her with domestic violence and took her to Butler County Jail.
