Between Oct. 23 and Oct. 30, Oxford Police reported multiple open container and drunken driving violations.
At 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 23, police responded to reported telecommunications harassment among four juveniles on Dana Drive. Alleged threatening text messages and photos were exchanged between the girls, resulting in texts threatening violence. One of the juveniles also said she received a photo of a pistol from one of the other girls. No charges are pending, according to police.
At 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 24, police responded to a vandalism report on the 600 block of South College Avenue. The caller said his tires were slashed seven weeks ago.
Later that same day at 9 p.m., police filed a report after a woman called saying she feared for her safety.
Just before 1 a.m. on Oct. 27, police and fire department officials were dispatched to Walnut Street for a suicide attempt.
In the early morning hours of Oct. 27, police responded to a domestic violence call on Homestead Avenue. A male juvenile attacked his mother and threatened suicide. The juvenile was transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
At 10:46 p.m. the same day, police stopped a 20-year-old male walking near the police station with an open container of alcohol. He was cited for open container and underage possession, then released.
At 12:22 a.m. on Oct. 28, police arrested a driver near the intersection of East High Street and North Campus Avenue for driving under the influence.
Just before 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 28, police stopped a vehicle for not using headlights near South College Avenue and West Walnut Street. The underage driver admitted to consuming alcohol recently, although there were no signs of impairment. The driver was cited with underage offenses and no headlights.
On the same early morning, at 2:20 a.m., an 18-year-old male walked in front of a police officer with an open container of alcohol between High Street and North Campus Avenue. He was arrested for open container, underage and prohibitions.
Just before 4:30 a.m. the same early morning, two 19-year-old males were issued citations for open container and underage person offenses in the 0 block of East Collins Street.
At 1:32 a.m. on Oct. 30, a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) kit was collected from McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital.
