Between Sept. 11 and Sept. 17, the Miami University Police Department responded to 78 incidents including 15 fire alarms, 13 reports of property damage, 10 reports of theft and nine medical assists.
The 13 reports of property damage took place around campus, with three occurring at Havighurst Hall and two at Stanton Hall, and the remaining eight scattered around campus. Seven of these incidents remain open.
Of the 10 reports of theft, four were reported at Miami’s rec center and three had an unknown location. The others were reported at Armstrong Student Center, Havighurst Hall and Marcum Hall. None of these thefts were classified as the theft of a motor vehicle, and eight of the cases remain open.
The nine medical assists occurred at King Library, Maplestreet Station, Goggin Ice Center and various residence halls.
There were also six alcohol violations and three drug violations. None resulted in a verbal warning and half of the alcohol violations involved underage persons.
