Between July 3 and July 16, Oxford Police reported a burglary and multiple incidents involving drug possession.
On July 3, officers responded to the 200 block of E Sycamore Street. following a report of someone putting thumbtacks in all four tires of the victim’s van.
At 2:30 p.m. July 5, a woman was accused of shoplifting on the 5700 block of College Corner Pike. When she was arrested, she was found to be in possession of two hypodermic needles.
On July 7, a burglary was reported during a maintenance check on the 200 block of N. Campus Avenue. The burglary was reported to have taken place over multiple days.
At 8:25 p.m. July 11, officers responded to a business on Lynn Avenue after a customer tried to pass a counterfeit $100 bill.
Also on July 11, officers responded to an apartment complex on the 5000 block of College Corner Pike following a report of an unwanted person inside an apartment. The male was found hiding in an apartment with active arrest warrants.
At 1 a.m. July 12, officers responded to the 300 block of Michelle Drive following reports of an unwanted person. The individual was found to have a crystalized substance with them and multiple warrants. Charges are pending awaiting lab results.
During a traffic stop July 16, officers determined that the driver was under the influence of narcotics. While searching the suspect, officers found suspected narcotics.
