Between July 3 and 11, the Butler County Health Department inspected 10 Oxford food service establishments, uncovering critical health code violations in four of the local restaurants.
Oxford Community Park Concession, located at 6801 Fairfield Road, was inspected July 3, and received no violations.
Dairy Queen, 5046 College Corner Pike, was inspected July 3 and received four non-critical violations. Violations included utensils not being air-dried properly, unclosed dumpster lids, grime build-up on the ceiling and the freezer door being unable to close fully.
Hampton Inn, 375 S. College Ave., was inspected July 6, and received two non-critical violations. The violations included two microwaves not approved by a recognized testing agency and no written procedure for waffle batter available.
Dunkin’ Donuts, located at 431 S. Locust St., inspected July 6, was cited with two critical and five non-critical violations. Critical violations included the handwashing sink used for non-hand washing and milk not being placed in proper temperatures. Other violations included cracked floor tiles, unlabeled squirt bottles, improper mop-drying, open dumpster lids and expired creamer.
Best Western Sycamore Inn, 6 E. Sycamore St., was inspected July 6, and received three non-critical violations. The violations included muffins and coffee grounds stored on the floor, a microwave not approved by a licensed testing agency and old water damage to the ceiling.
Hueston Woods Pro Shop, located at 6962 Brown Road, inspected July 10, received no violations.
Domino’s Pizza, 431 S. Locust St., was inspected July 10, was cited with two critical and three non-critical violations. Violations included listing only six reportable illnesses for employees, an unlabeled sanitizer bottle, improper drying of dishes and paper plates and napkins being stored on the floor.
Dollar General, 5055 College Corner Pike, inspected July 10, received five non-critical violations. Those violations included the front door not fully shut, improperly sealed water fountains and sinks, cracked floor tiles and mold-like substance on wall bases.
Chipotle Mexican Grill, 1 W. High St., inspected July 11, was cited with one critical and one non-critical violation. Violations included rice and pinto beans not at the incorrect temperatures and inaccurate air-drying of food pans, respectively.
Burger King, at 5093 College Corner Pike, was inspected July 11 and received two critical and four non-critical violations. Violations included built-up grime on an ice machine, unmarked time stamps for some ingredients and condiments, a damaged freezer gasket and grime on a wall near fryers.
