On Saturday, May 28, a 58-year-old Oxford man reported five bank cards and $82 stolen from his parked car on South Main Street.

According to an Oxford Police report, the victim parked his Volkswagen Passat across from 75 South Main St. from 9:15 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. on May 27. During this time, he was eating at Buffalo Wild Wings on East Walnut Street.

After he finished eating, the victim realized his wallet was still in his car parked outside. When he went to get his wallet, he saw the compartments inside his car were opened and had been gone through. The car had been left unlocked while he was in Buffalo Wild Wings.

He located his wallet in the car, but it was missing the cash and cards inside. The cards included a Discover credit card, Merrick Bank Mastercard, Ollo Mastercard, Huntington Bank credit card and a Fifth Third ATM card.

Nothing else was missing from the vehicle and the car was not moved or damaged, according to the report. The report does not mention if anyone saw a suspect or if nearby cameras can be used to catch the individual.

The victim has since canceled the bank cards and the Oxford Police report cites no suspects so far.
