Oxford Police takes reports of sexual assault and thefts

A sexual assault nurse examiner from a central Ohio hospital reported on Oct. 6 to Oxford Police that a sexual assault had occurred in Oxford.

Police say the case is inactive because the victim did not want to make their identity known.

Oxford Police also took reports of thefts from cars parked on Main Street, Winding Brook Drive and Wooster Place.

Three residents also reported stolen bicycles to police last week. In each case, they said the locks had been cut. Additionally, police received reports of packages stolen from a Miami Commons apartment and a house on North Main Street.
