Jennifer Jewell, the host of the North State Public Radio podcast “Cultivating Place,” spoke to an audience at the Oxford Senior Center Sept. 20.

Locally, the program airs on Cincinnati Public Radio WXVU at 7 a.m. Saturdays and 10 p.m. Wednesdays.

Sponsors of the event included the Des Fleurs Garden Club; Miami University’s Institute of Food, Institute for the Environment & Sustainability, and Ecological Research Center; Shademakers Garden Center; Cincinnati Public Radio and Oxford Seniors. A wine and cheese reception, sponsored by the Oxford Chamber of Commerce, followed the talk.
