As the pieces came down, they are laid out in the parking lot area behind Williams, like scattered toys waiting to be put away.

After several days, only a short stub the structure remains standing. Soon, that too was removed.

Day-by-day, sections of the red and white steel frame are cut loose and lowered into the parking lot behind William’s Hall, off of Oak Street. The building was closed as a safety precaution during the deconstruction.

In early December a crane goes up alongside the tower and first removed the 54-foot antenna formerly used by WPTO TV.
