As seen in this photo from a past year, Pancake Day is a successful event for the Kiwanis.

The Oxford Kiwanis annual Pancake Day returns to normal this week, serving up stacks of syrupy cakes from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Talawanda High School, 5301 University Park Blvd.

The event is a major fundraiser to support the Kiwanis scholarships and other community programs. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the event for the past two years, first pushing it from April to September and then causing it to be drive-thru only. This year it is back to a sit-down-and-eat fest, according to the Kiwanis.

Tickets can be purchased for $6 in advance from any member of the Kiwanis or at the door for $7. Children under 5 years old can enter for free.

Premium pancakes have a $2 upcharge. They include blueberry, chocolate chip, strawberry and gluten-free pancakes.
