Miami President Greg Crawford presents a video highlighting Miami achievements during the pandemic, in a presentation Thursday in Hall Auditorium.

Miami University President Greg Crawford highlighted Miami student and faculty success, partnerships, renovations, research, sustainability efforts, grants and funding during the past two years in his talk “Two Years Later: How Miami Has Led into a ‘New Normal,’” Thursday afternoon, March 17, in Hall Auditorium.

“It was important to come out of the pandemic as a community to see where we are at,” Crawford said. “We took on the world through love and honor.”

Last week Miami removed most of its masking requirements, allowing students to attend classes without masks.

Crawford had announced he wanted to bring the campus community together to show what they’ve accomplished since the start of the pandemic. Each university department was asked around two months ago to create a poster of their achievements to display before and after Crawford’s speech.

Hall Auditorium, which seats approximately 750 people, was a third full  Thursday afternoon.
