Incoming Miami University students will pay 4.5% more for residence halls and meals next year, following a Friday, Feb. 25 vote of the Miami Board of Trustees.

The board also approved a $27 million plan to upgrade the Ogden Hall dormitory and added $1.5 million to $13.5 million earlier approved for the College@Elm business incubator project Uptown.

Additionally, the board approved tenure and/or promotion for 55 faculty members and one librarian.

The trustees also thanked its outgoing chair, David Budig for 10 1/2 years of service on the board. Board Member Mary Schell took over as chair Friday.
