Armed robbery on Elm Street results in stolen electronics, money

Three men, armed with guns, forced their way into an Elm Street apartment on the night of Jan. 31, forcing the resident to lie on the floor while they stole an iPhone, cash and computers, according to a report by Oxford Police.

The police said the resident heard a knock on his back door at approximately 8:45 p.m. and opened it to three unknown intruders.

No one was injured during the incident and no shots were fired. The case remains under investigation. In an update posted this week on the department’s Facebook account, police said the incident is believed to have been a targeted incident and “not a random act of violence.”
