Enjoy Oxford is accepting band nominations for its annual Summer Concert Series through the end of January. Local area bands can nominate themselves, or fans can nominate their favorite bands. 

“We have 13 weeks to fill, and we try for a diversity of musical genres and to introduce a selection of new bands each year,” Enjoy Oxford Director Kim Daggy said on the nomination form. 

Enjoy Oxford has almost 50 nominations already. The concert series will be held each Thursday from June through August. Each week, 500 to 1,000 Oxford residents typically attend the concerts in Uptown Park. 

After the submission window is closed, the selection committee will choose which bands will perform. The committee is composed of Enjoy Oxford board members, local business owners and community representatives. 

“Every summer we and our sponsors love to put on these summer-long, family-friendly concerts with a vast array of music and performers for our community,” Enjoy Oxford Operations Manager Rebecca Lockhart said. “We will see you all dancing and singing in the Uptown Parks this summer!”
