Thursday, Nov. 11 is Veterans Day, and as the longest war in U.S. history ends, Oxford’s veterans are not being forgotten.

A veterans program and breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. at Talawanda High School, 5301 University Park Blvd. The annual event is sponsored by the Talawanda High School/Butler Tech chapter of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.

From 11 a.m. to noon on Veterans Day, Oxford Parks and Recreation Department will host a memorial service to honor the area’s veterans, in Memorial Park, uptown. The event is open to all.
