Many local businesses and institutions will be closed for the celebration of Independence Day. As July 4 falls on a Sunday this year, the holiday closings will occur on July 5. 

Most bank branches will be closed on July 5, with the exception of branches located within other retail businesses, such as Kroger, that will be open. ATMs also will be operating. 

Government-run buildings will also be closed on Monday for the Federal Holiday including the post office and the City of Oxford offices. Miami University offices will be closed.

Rumpke trash collection and recycling services will operate on its normal schedules, according to the company.
