Pyramid Park is offering a pet-friendly “Yappy Hour,” on May 21.

Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park invites you and your canine friend to a “Yappy Hour” at the park, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, May 21.

You and your dog can walk around the 300+ acre park and finish with a drink at the Grand Pavilion.

Bring your canine companion to Pyramid Hill for a walk around our 300+ acre sculpture park and finish with a drink at the Grand Pavilion for our annual Yappy Hour Saturday, May 21. The event is staged as a showcase for adoptable pets. The Animal Friends Humane Society will be at the park with its petmobile for onsite adoptions.

“Having this opportunity to showcase adoptable pets outside of the shelter environment is crucial to finding homes for those animals who struggle with showing their true personalities from inside of a cage,” said Tara Bowser, executive director of the Animal Friends Humane Society. “Outdoor events with fresh air and new faces are sometimes all it takes to make that perfect match!”

The ”Yappy Hour” is the first of several events Pyramid Hill will hold this year to benefit the Humane Society of Butler County, according to Lee Sanders, interim director of the park. Pyramid Hill strives to be pet-friendly and even offers dog memberships.

The park will take donations of food or treats for admission to this event; guests can access this event with the donation of one medium or large bag of pet food or two bags of treats. Guests who do not bring donations also have the option of paying the standard park admission fee.

Interested patrons can also purchase a Pyramid Hill Dog Membership for their pet before or during the event and receive a Doggie Swag Bag with treats, a Pyramid Hill bandanna, a pet waste bag dispenser and a drink ticket, according to a press release sent out by the park.
