Best Buddies hosts its third annual fashion show, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 11 at Brick Street Bar, 36 E. High St.

Stores from the Oxford community donated items to be worn by buddy pairs in the show and for the silent auction, which will take place after the show, along with karaoke performances. Plus, for the first time, five Miami student designers made custom outfits for buddy pairs to wear down the runway, said Elly Hunter, president of Miami University Best Buddies. 

The event is hybrid, offering a virtual option which consists of a live stream on the Best Buddies Facebook page. The Best Buddies Choir will perform virtually, as well as a group of neurodivergent performers called “The Listening World.”

Food will be available for purchase from Fridge and Pantry and the bar will be open for drinks at an additional cost for participants 21-years-old and up. 

The Oxford Best Buddies is a local chapter of a national nonprofit that creates opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
