Passover, the Jewish holiday that commemorates God who freed the Jewish people from bondage in Egypt, described in the Book of Exodus, begins Saturday, March 27.

The Chabad Jewish Center and Hillel at Miami will host events that celebrate the Passover. Chabad will hold a virtual educational talk March 30. Hillel plans for Passover Palooza, which includes a matzah cover “crafternoon” at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 27 and a matzah pizza bake at noon Sunday, March 28. 

Passover is celebrated for eight days. It incorporates themes of springtime, the Jewish homeland, family, remembrance of Jewish history, social justice and freedom.
