Miami University’s Chabad Jewish Student group hosts a family style Shabbat at 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., March 5 through March 14, at 111 E. Spring St.

Traditionally, Shabbat is the Jewish day of rest and can be celebrated in different ways, according to jewishmuseum.org. The Chabad Jewish Student group will offer matzo ball soup, candle lighting and conversation. 

Chabad Jewish Student group provides vibrant, practical, traditional Judaism and all Jewish needs to the students at Miami University, university faculty and Jewish residents of, and visitors to, the Oxford area in a friendly and warm atmosphere.

All Chabad at Miami University events are open to anyone regardless of background, prior knowledge or affiliation.
