The annual Salvation Army holiday bell ringing campaign to raise money for local charities is scheduled to begin in Oxford Friday, Nov. 27 at Kroger.

For the 19th consecutive year, the Kiwanis Club of Oxford is aiding the Salvation Army by providing volunteer bell ringers during the holiday season.

As in past years, 90% of the funds raised in Oxford will go to the Family Resource Center of Oxford, with the remainder going for the support of the Salvation Army’s work in disaster relief, according to an announcement by the Kiwanis.

If you would like to volunteer for one or more one hour shifts of bell ringing, contact the Kiwanis through the club’s website.
