Butler County performed 18 health inspections throughout April.
Uptown Blends, 20 E. High St, received the most violations with seven critical and seven non-critical violations. According to the report, the inspector found drink powder and various food equipment inside the toilet room. The inspector also observed a build-up of debris on the interior surfaces of the ice machine. During a follow-up inspection, Uptown Blends corrected three of the critical violations during the inspection, according to the report.
Happy Kitchen, 32 W. High St., received seven critical and six non-critical violations. According to the report, the inspector observed a staff member using their bare hands to handle ready to eat noodles into a single use container. The noodles were discarded and gloves were put on by the employee. They observed a mold-like substance on the inside of the ice machine but it appeared cleaner than the last inspection done Feb. 27. The inspector also observed some items being stored with only Mandarin written on them. Happy Kitchen corrected three critical violations during the inspection according to the report.
