Last week, Oxford Police responded to reports of theft, aggravated menacing and underage drinking.
On the morning of April 26, police responded to a report of theft at Oxford Spirits that occurred the previous night. Two men entered the store on two different occasions and stole bottles of liquor. On April 28, police identified one of the suspects using camera footage of the suspect’s vehicle license plate. The Talawanda High School resource officer identified the other suspect and police charged him with theft and underage drinking.
On the evening of April 26, a man reported his backpack was stolen from his porch on Tallawanda Road three days prior. The backpack contained a Dell laptop and a graphing calculator. Police have camera footage of the suspect but do not know her identity at this time.
On the night of April 26, police responded to a report of an Uber driver threatening his passengers. The driver started an argument about the three smelling like marijuana and told them that he’d be leaving a negative review on the app. After one of the passengers replied, he started screaming at the three to get out of the car. The driver grabbed a gun and held it over his vehicle after they had exited. The driver proceeded to follow the group and continued to yell at them as they walked away. Police identified the driver and put out three warrants for aggravated menacing.
In the early hours of April 27, police responded to a report of a woman unconscious in the bathroom at Brick Street. Police found her on the floor without her pants on, covered in her vomit and feces. EMS transported her to the hospital and police charged her with disorderly conduct and underage drinking.
