The Miami University tennis team ended the regular season 9-1 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Led by head coach and Oxford local Ricardo Rosas, the RedHawks are at the top of the MAC Women’s Tennis Standings.
With a 4-3 win over Northern Illinois University Friday, April 18, the team won the regular-season crown. Miami started strong, winning the doubles point and carried that momentum into singles as Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek, Lauren Joyce and Sara Zalulakar each got wins for Miami.
The RedHawks will put it all together this week as the team travels to Toledo, Ohio for the MAC Championships. The final competition begins Thursday, April 24, and Miami will play as a first seed in the tournament against the number 4-seeded Buffalo at 10 a.m.
