The Coalition for a Healthy Community will hold a medication disposal day between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 26 at the TRI Community Center and the parking lot of Oxford’s Walmart.
According to the coalition’s Facebook, the event’s purpose is to keep Oxford healthy and to dispose of contents in an environmentally conscious, legal and safe way.
Items for disposal include: expired, unused over-the-counter medications and vaping devices and cartridges if the batteries are removed.
The Coalition for a Healthy Community hosts the event in collaboration with the City of Oxford Police Department, Oxford Township Police Department and McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital.
