
The Talawanda Brave Baseball team fell to 0-2 after back-to-back defeats on the road in Florida.
In its first game, the Brave lost 10-1 to the Daviess County Panthers on Sunday. The Brave trailed 2-0 in the 6th and had their only RBI from junior utilityman Kyle Jones. The Panthers would answer quickly by scoring 8 runs in the 6th.
In the second game, Talawanda fell in a closer result 6-2 to the Meade County Green Waves on Monday. Senior Eddie Tanner produced the team’s only RBI. Senior pitcher Micah Daniels was a consistent presence on the mound pitching five innings and striking out five Green Waves.
The Brave will face three teams in two days in Fort Walton, Florida. Their first matchup will be against the Hopkinsville Tigers at 9 a.m. Wednesday. At 9 a.m. Thursday in a doubleheader, Talawanda will face off against the Holy Cross Cougars and against the LaRue County Hawks at 5 p.m.
